Gianluca Picierro

Hello! I have been living in Utrecht for the past three years with my girlfriend, who is Romanian-Spanish. Originally from Italy, I have found a new home here in the Netherlands, where we both enjoy the beauty of nature and the warmth of the community.

We are passionate about exploring the outdoors, traveling to new places, and engaging in various sports activities. In our free time, we love gardening and are currently working on creating a vegetable garden in our backyard. This project has been a rewarding way to connect with nature and enjoy the fruits of our labor.

I work as a software engineer at a bank

One of the most important aspects of our neighborhood is its proximity to essential amenities, such as the nearby supermarket. However, I have noticed that on windy days, litter from packaging and overflowing trash bins often scatters around the area. This is something I am passionate about improving.

I would love to see our neighborhood become cleaner and greener. By working together with the community, we can implement better waste management solutions and encourage more green spaces. This would not only enhance the beauty of Kanaaleiland but also create a healthier and more pleasant environment for everyone.
